The Governor’s Visit for 2016 for Divisions 8 & 6 will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at Tuckerman’s Tavern, Route 16A, Intervale, NH. It will begin at 5:15pm.

The Kiwanis Club of Fall River (MA) is having a Clam cake, Chowder & Fish Fry fundraiser on Friday, October 23rd. It will be from 4-7 at St. Anne’s Frat Hall, 144 Guild St, Fall River, MA. Tickets are $20.00for adults and $10.00 for childen under 12. This includes Red or White Chowder, Clam Cakes and Fish Fry, Coffee/Tea and Dessert. The Kiwanis Club of St Johnsbury (VT) will hold their Installation of Officers on Sunday, September 27th at the St Johnsbury Country Club. Social hour begins at 1pm with the Installation beginning at 2pm. There will be a buffet,chicken, beef etc combined with delicious desserts at a cost of $18.00 per person. Kiwanis of Greater Seekonk 5K Race and Walkathon 2015

On Sunday, September 27th, the Seekonk Kiwanis will sponsor the 2nd annual 5K Race and 1.5 Walk. The race is USA Track and Field sanctioned and will be held rain or shine starting at 10 a.m. Registration is $25  before September 25th or $30 on the race day starting at 9:00 a.m. The event will start at the Martin School on Cole Street and be on the neighboring side streets. Tee-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants.
There will be events for pre-school, elementary and middle school age children sponsored by Seekonk Youth and Recreation with a donation of $5 to Seekonk Kiwanis.
Sponsors are welcome to help with the costs - gold for $500 or silver for $125. Names will appear on the tee-shirts. We also welcome donations for prizes (gift certificates, articles) or money for food or advertising.
The proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for child care and for graduating seniors and to sponsor the Key Club at the Seekonk High School and the Builders' Club at the Hurley Middle School to encourage students to perform community service. Kiwanis is a world wide organization dedicated to improving the world "one child and one community at a time".

The Kiwanis Club of Holyoke (MA) wiil hold their next meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at the Delaney House.  They will begin the evening with a reception at 5:30, prior to the 6:00 meeting on the veranda.  A full agenda is on tap as outgoing Lieutenant Governor John Lanoue will be on hand to officially release their retiring officers and directors, and incoming Lieutenant Governor Adam Wright will install their 2015-16 officers and directors. Past District Governor George & Geana Delisle will also be on hand for the event.

In addition to the installation ceremonies, Legion of Honor awards will also be presented to four of our members in recognition of their longevity of service to their club. They are Bob Dixon, Steve Johnston, Gary Jordan and Dick Lempke. After four terms as president, MEOC is going out in style and with a lot of gratitude from her fellow members.
